Is your 2-year old entitled to free funding?
Recently the government announced an expansion to the funding available for parents with childcare. But what does that actually mean?
Long story short, up until now, funding is available for parents whose children are 3 -5 years old and that was conclusive. However, it was to our delight that the government announced that from April 2024, eligible working parents of 2-year-olds will be able to access 15 hours childcare support.
Additionally, from September 2024, that same 15 hours of funding is available for children from the ages of 9 months old!
This is a wonderful step forward for better accessibility to childcare for families across the UK, and an overall better step for the country!
